While each journey towards living a healthy lifestyle is unique, one thing all nutritionists can agree on is the importance of veggies as they are a great source of healthy nutrients. That’s why, in the spirit of National Nutrition Month, Profile coaches have compiled a list of 10 hacks to help you get your vegetables.
Pre-cut and wash your veggies
Prepare a whole week’s worth of vegetables over the weekend so they’re ready to grab and eat or add to the meals you’re cooking. Extra busy? Many grocery stores have pre-cut and washed veggies in the produce aisle.
Swap it out
A great way to get more veggies in is with starch swaps. Switch noodles for roasted spaghetti squash or spiralized zucchini. Cauliflower can be made into rice, pizza crust, or enjoyed like mashed potatoes. Here are some recipes to try for starch swaps:
