1. Does Profile have a nondairy or lactose-free plan?

2. A day in the life of a nondairy/lactose-free member

For individuals who do not consume dairy, we recommend our Balance nutrition plan. Although we have plant-based protein shakes and bars, many of the other Profile foods contain dairy proteins. 4. Milk allergy vs lactose intolerance

A milk allergy and lactose intolerance are two very different dietary restrictions. A food allergy happens when your immune system overreacts to a specific food protein (dairy proteins including whey and casein). When you eat or drink the food protein, it can trigger an allergic reaction. Whereas food intolerances do not involve the immune system. People who are lactose intolerant are missing the enzyme lactase which breaks down lactose, a sugar found in milk and dairy products. As a result, people with lactose intolerance are unable to digest these foods and often experience symptoms such as nausea, cramps, gas, bloating, and diarrhea.
