The Dress That Doesn’t Fit
Emily, a Nebraska resident, is a 9th grade band and choir teacher for nine years and counting!
One day while getting ready for work, Emily grabbed for her FAVORITE dress to wear that day:
“I put it on and just knew that I looked amazing! Until…I looked in the mirror; I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The dress didn’t fit, it wasn’t flattering, and I was disappointed.”
That night, Emily gave her mom a call as she had a 140 pound loss success through Profile Plan:
Emily began her weight-loss journey with Profile on March 14, 2022 weighing 252 pounds.
“I watched her shrink before my eyes, and I knew that if she could do it, I could do it as well.”
A Few Other Factors to Consider
At 32 years old, a diagnosis of high cholesterol in August of 2021 was a shocker:
“I knew my health wasn’t perfect, but I was never expecting to hear that I might have to go on medication.”
Success with other weight-loss programs was extremely rare:
“I found that they were hard to stick with because there was no external force driving me. I would often hit a plateau and just give up thinking that program didn’t work.”
Emily found she would inevitably gain back all the weight she had lost.
1-on-1 Coaching: The Secret “Ingredient”
“Profile was, by far, the BEST decision I made for myself.”
With Profile, an external force exists in the form of a personal coach:
“I know that I have a weekly meeting with my coach, someone is checking on me, and in a funny way, I don’t want to disappoint him!”
Emily’s coach is supportive and gives her helpful ideas:
“He has given me workout ideas, reminds me where to find information, and he’s really pushed me to be the best version of myself that I can be.”
Profile works for Emily, not only through her personal coaching, but also because it is so easy to follow:
“The program is so laid out for you. You know exactly what is expected of you, and there is support when you need recipe ideas or exercise ideas. If you work the plan, it will work for you.’”
The First Few Weeks
Emily admits she was a little nervous about starting a new weight-loss journey as she is an avid snacker:
“I was afraid that I would get hungry throughout the day, but with the shakes every couple of hours, a big salad full of veggies at lunch and the protein bar in the afternoon, I was NOT hungry at all! In the first week, I lost 10 pounds, and by the end of the third week, I had lost 18 pounds. I set a goal for this past summer to lose 50 pounds by the time school started, and I hit that goal one week before the 2022-2023 school year began!”
Emily’s ultimate goal of weight loss is to reach 150 pounds by Christmas.
Not only has Emily adopted a healthier style of eating, she is adopting more exercise into her journey as well:
“I exercise 4-5 times a week with a mixture of walking and cardio/strength training.”
Before Profile, she would have to modify the workout to complete it or stop before the exercise was completed:
“Since losing weight, I am actually modifying the movements to make them more difficult, and I can now go longer than the trainer says I have to!”
Emily has always had her family as her largest supporter. Since Emily’s journey began in March of 2022, two of her friends have followed her to Profile:
“We spend hours talking, advising and supporting each other. Not having to do this alone, having friends and family as support, is 100% of why I keep going."
Emily’s Non-Scale Victories
After 5 months, the amazing 50 pound drop on the scale was worth celebration. But is was not the only victory resulting from Emily’s Profile experience. She has also:
And ultimately, these size changes enabled her to buy a completely new wardrobe:
- Reduced her jeans size from a 20 to a 12.
- Wears large t-shirts instead of 2X.
“I am within a pound of being under 200 pounds for the first time since high school.”
Emily’s Words of Wisdom
"Profile provides a program that isn’t just another “fad”. It is a long-term lifestyle change. I don’t see myself ever going back to the weight I was. If anyone is considering joining, I tell them, DON’T WAIT!”
