Roasted Jicama

Jicama can be a fantastic low-carb replacement for starchy foods such as potatoes. For an even easier and crispier version of this recipe try it out in the air fryer. Better than french fries!

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 medium Jicama, sliced into fries
  • 2 tsp. Canola Oil
  • 1 Tbsp, Three Onion Rub spice
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Peel the Jicama and slice it into 1 inch rectangles.
  3. Place Jicama slices in a microwave safe bowl and add 4 Tbs. of water.
  4. Microwave on high for 15 minutes.
  5. Drain the water from the Jicama.
  6. Add canola oil, three onion rub spice, red pepper flakes.
  7. Toss the Jicama to coat the oil and spices.
  8. Place in oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Enjoy!
