Three Healthy Hummus Bowl Recipes

It seems like food "bowls" are popping up everywhere! From burrito joints to sushi places, you've likely noticed how popular the bowl craze has become. But guess what? Not all of these bowls are healthy. Especially the ones from the big chain burrito restaurants. A lot of them offer copious amounts of sour cream, cheese or other hidden calories. 

Love hummus? Good. We've gone deep into the Profile lab to create three bowls that are both healthy and delicious. Because that's what we do! 

Feel free to customize these to your tastes. Toss in some cilantro, splash on a little lime juice or throw on your favorite zero-calorie hot sauce. It's your bowl!

Korean Steak Bowl

This bowl will make you think you're ordering straight from your favorite Korean taco truck. If you really want to take this recipe up a notch try grilling the steak first!

  • Steak – 3 oz, cooked and sliced
  • Quinoa –2/3 cup, cooked
  • Hummus – 4 Tbsp
  • Sweet Red Pepper - ½ cup, chopped
  • Broccoli – ¾ cup, cooked
  • Red Onion – ¼ cup, diced
  • Carrots – ½ cup, shredded
  • Red Pepper Flakes – to taste
  • Sesame Seeds – for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Cook steak to your taste
  • Combine ingredients in one bowl
  • Enjoy

Mediterranean Chicken Bowl

This bowl looks like a work of art but you won't want to stare at it too long! The feta cheese really pairs well with the hummus in the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl.

  • Chicken – 4 oz, cooked and diced
  • Cauliflower Rice – 1 cup, cooked
  • Cucumber – ½ cucumber, sliced
  • Hummus – 4 Tbsp
  • Cherry Tomatoes – 1/2 cup, halved
  • Onion – ¼ cup, diced
  • Feta cheese – 2 oz
  • Lemon Pepper – to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Cook chicken to at least 165 degrees
  • Combine ingredients in one bowl

Breakfast Bowl
