Looking for even more exercise ideas? Check out theseheart-friendly exercises you can do any time, any place.

1. Core rotation

You’ll need a workout buddy and a resistance band for this first exercise that focuses on the core. Stand facing one another with each of you holding and end of the band. With a slight bend in the knees and your core tight, rotate the opposite direction of one another.

2. Mountain climbers

This is a core-based exercise that can be done in a lot of variations for all fitness levels. Farrah has Kelsey do an atomic plank mountain climber driving her knee to the opposite elbow. To modify this move, set your hands on a bench in front of you for more support. Make it more advanced by placing your feet on the bench with hands on the floor.

3. Step-ups

Step ups are a great way to get your heart rate up. Using a bench or sturdy chair, alternate legs as you set one foot on the bench and drive the other knee up to your chest. Too easy? Add a hop once you reach the top.

4. Chest press with a partner

Give this move a try with your workout buddy. Using a resistance band, face away from one another with legs staggered, chest up, and elbows nice and wide. Press the band forward at the same time and bring the elbows back. Continue this movement for the number of reps you’d like to do.
