4 Positive Thoughts for Weight Loss

Turn thoughts like “I’m a failure” or “I can’t do anything right” to “I am enough” or “I am learning through this process”. Self-compassion is associated with greater life satisfaction, optimism, and overall body acceptance.

2. Fixed Mindset vs. Growth Mindset.

Having a growth mindset leads to a desire to learn and a tendency to embrace challenges, persist through setbacks, and find inspiration in the success of others. See failure as an opportunity to grow!

3. Self-Sabotage vs. Self-Acceptance.

Rid yourself of the all-or-nothing mentality. Accept that you’re not going to be perfect every hour of every day and extend yourself some grace. Take it one step at a time and remember to celebrate all of your successes, even the small moments.

4. Poor Body Image vs Body Acceptance.

The way you think about, feel, and relate to your body is important. Improving body image is an intentional practice that requires effort and time, and it’s ok to not feel good about your body all day, every day. Instead, treat your body with the respect and care it deserves.
